October Monthly round up. |

|
Hello Resident,
I hope this message finds you well. As we have gone through October, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
🔍 Local Priorities
Our current focus areas include:
Caldmore Green/Road and surrounding area due to reports of Anti-Social Behaviour and Parking concerns.
Speeding vehicles including E Bikes and E Scooters in Walsall Town Centre during daytime, evening and late evening time hours.
Tackling crime and ASB around Park Street and surrounding areas in Town Centre.
Working to ensure Halloween and Bonfire night are enjoyed safely.
We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.
🤝 Partnership Working
Officers and PCSO’s have conducted joint patrols alongside Green Square Accord housing, whereby they have patrolled various housing schemes within Caldmore and St Matthews area, offering support and reassurance to residents in the area and dealing with any Anti-Social behaviour issues that have been reported to us from concerned residents.
PCSO Gallier has been invited to attended a group for under 5 years called “Tiny Tots” that is held at Lichfield Street Hub Library, whereby she has built a good relationship with children and parents/carers and given an input on keeping themselves safe. This has been very positive for the children and the staff within the library.
🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement
PCSO’s have worked hard to secure a new batch of students to take part in a new Streetwatch group from Walsall College. A staggering 11 new members have signed up to patrol the St Matthews area, where they will engage with members of the public, offering a sense of reassurance to shoppers, commuters and shop staff, and being the eyes and ears of West Midlands Police to feed back to local officers any intelligence they come across and help build a picture of what is happening within the neighbourhood.
Thank you to all the residents that have took part in Speedwatch and Streetwatch Patrols throughout the neighbourhood which include, Rushall Manor and Highgate areas. Thanks for your continued time and effort that you give in order for these patrols to happen, and keeping your local community safe.

🗞️ Round-Up from All Wards
Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch:
Officers have attended various resident’s meetings over the last few weeks which include Highgate View, Cardan Pointe and Tantarra Court. These meetings are very important to members of the public who like to see officers, to receive reassurance and also gives them an opportunity to report any issues if they are not confident in making contact with Police via our many ways of reporting, this works well in order to know what is going on in our neighbourhood.
Officers have been focusing patrols within the Arboretum, to offer a visible presence to people who use the facilities. They have also attended the Park run to offer support and is a great opportunity to get into the community.
There have been targeted patrols within “Boss man alley” within the town Centre, this is a place that has been highlighted to us due to ASB and large groups of youths in the area. Officers have engaged with these youths, stop and search powers conducted where appropriate and have dispersed these youths from the area.
Officers have been involved in Mischief Fortnight campaign, this is as we get ready for Halloween and bonfire night. They have been sharing plenty of crime prevention advice and safety tips to help you and your family stay safe. They have stepped up patrols within certain areas to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves safely and responsibly, offering “No trick or treating” cards to people who want to display these within their property, to stop any unwanted visitors, especially the elderly and vulnerable.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Stay safe and take care,
Sgt 0833 Mark Collins St Matthews Neighbourhood Supervisor | ||
